It's waterproof but you can't use the phone in the water. When I try to upload the video it stops. You can't use the touchscreen to restart videos or switch to photo mode, etc., so it's useless for video recording, but it's waterproof. I'm in Hawaii and have tried filming it on the water several times hoping it would eventually catch up. but it just doesn't happen. As soon as you enter the water, the voice recorder switches off automatically.
