The app is really awesome, the best I've ever used with one of these lightbars. You can change colors, brightness level and strobe effects. The application never crashed and there were no lags, it is very easy to use with a clean interface. The remote control is finicky, you have to point it directly at the white box. These lights are quite bright and the tape remains strong to this day. I used my own double sided tape to stick the white box to the wall. The double sided tape these lights came with didn't prove to be that strong. Overall I'm happy with these lights, mostly because of the app and the variety of color options you can choose from.
