Living in a townhouse with public parking to the side is driving our two dogs crazy. Every time they hear the sound of a car door, they switch off. My wife and I had to do something. We tried throwing water in their faces, but our lab thinks it's a game and they don't care. Bark collars in our version are not humane. So I did a little research and came across this device. I have to say it works great! As soon as they start barking, we press the button and they stop immediately. They don't even try to start over. It gets to the point where they see me pick it up and stop barking before I hit the button. This even works when they are in the yard and you try to call them and they don't answer. Push the button and they will come. This device has turned out to be a great helper when working with dogs!
