Good product, no surge protector.
I mounted it behind my tv on the wall with a Command strip and then ran it down to the outlet encasing it in a cord hider. Worked out great. Love the low profile, tilted cord. The only negative is it doesn't have surge protection which is what I wanted and I didn't know that overload protection is the same as surge protection.
- Needed a power strip with a long cord
- The overload protection may cause the power strip to shut off unexpectedly
