Review on Westinghouse Lighting 75053 14 Inch Picture by Brian Price

I sent the battery version back first because with a bit of luck the battery lasts about 4 days. I returned it and now I have a similar version with chords. The model I am commenting on. Good thing the light is bright and finally illuminates the antique clock which I tried to shine with a rather bright light. I did it a little differently by attaching it to the ceiling about 2 feet in front of the clock and running the wire along the ceiling behind the clock to the floor. The bulbs are still visible on the outside of the lamp body making it look less finished and cheaper, but it works as it should. I just wish the bulbs were more recessed into the case. Also, the bulbs and brass cover heat up to FIRE which is most annoying. Dangerously hot. Touching is a hazard, but what if the lamp falls or the fragments of the bulb break, leaving fragments of very hot glass on the floor or carpet? Not good. So long and short, it works well overall, but the HOT HOT HOT temperature of the lamp and bulbs and its extended structure outside the lamp body creates a less polished look and never ends with overheating worries. I could try changing the lightbulbs but from what I've read that would be a problem. Now I like it in general.
