I was surprised when the replacement charcoal water filters arrived because the box of 12 was so small! The filters have the same shape as Cuisinart brand filters, but are significantly smaller than Cuisinart filters. I was tempted to deduct a star because of the size difference, but after drinking my morning coffee and realizing that my coffee was really delicious, just like with Cuisinart filters, I thought it wasn't fair, so I gave it a full 5 stars , because they filter the water as they should, which is the most important thing. However, I wonder if the smaller size might affect the overall lifespan of the filter. I usually change my Cuisinart brand filters monthly - the coffee still tastes great, but I find this is the best schedule to ensure the best filtration and coffee flavor. There have been times when I haven't changed it for whatever reason, and I've noticed that if I don't change the filter for a month and a half, my coffee starts to taste different. It will be interesting to see whether these smaller replacement filters will still filter as well as the branded version by the end of the month. If they do, I'll give my 5 star rating. how it is! If not, I will update my review/rating. I believe because they filter so well that despite being smaller, they deliver just as much as their counterparts!
