Save yourself the hassle. Just spend your money on better cables
These are by far the worst displayport cables I've seen. I had this cable for about 6 minutes before it got damaged when I plugged it in and then tried to unplug it. I connected a new cable to my monitor. I decided I wanted to move my monitor, so I turned it off before moving the monitor. When I tried to press a button to pull out the DP cable, the entire cable detached in my hand, leaving a metal insert that lodged in a port on my monitor. No, I have not twisted, kinked, or pulled the cord. It was so fragile from the packaging.
