When ATT switched to fiber for our U-verse service, I found that my old MyCloud drive was no longer available. The connection was in another room, directly on the router, and my PC is in the living room. I researched online and found out that this is a problem with the old drives and that this should fix the problem. It happened instantly. My drive was connected directly to the router. I plugged this switch into a router instead of a drive cable, then plugged a drive into that switch and all was right with the world again. Very easy to fix. Since then I haven't had any problems at all.
