A bummer but a pretty picture

It's funny that 'clean' was one of the descriptions the seller offered. it is furniture; There is no cleanliness here. Aside from the assembly being a real pain in the ass, so here's the thing. You know those Ikea DIY tables and chairs where all the holes are pre-drilled, the joints are flush and the pre-installed stud holders are perfectly positioned? Well, it wasn't one of them. Like so many other things from the Chinese sphere of influence, this item looks good in the photo. But it's all about functionality, and you end up with a filing cabinet with drawers that won't slide out, misaligned, and don't close completely. Everything seemed to be filled with some kind of epoxy. At some point I had to pick the phone out of plastic scraps with a pocket knife. Wood will splinter when you drive screws into drill holes. For $150, I expected a functional filing cabinet. Unfortunately, this was not destined to come true. I have just read five other reviews for this product. All I can say is that the very first ones to come to the United States from Vietnam must have been made by other artisans or reviewers, if you get my meaning. This is by no means an acceptable piece of furniture. Don't waste your money or time.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
