Longer than you think

I have purchased several sizes of this hook based on a designer review I follow. Unfortunately these hooks are too long for me. I don't blame the hook, I feel like I'm holding my hook. They look like they're holding a freshly sharpened pencil. Very bulky for me. I prefer my hooks to be a little shorter. I use the knife handle style to hold the hook, so maybe this style is better for those who hold the hook differently? The handle is soft and comfortable, and the hooks are light. I really wanted to like them but unfortunately they didn't do it for me.
