I have to admit that they are a lot more exciting than I thought. Think of a short and tiny plastic clothespin and here it is. a metal spring in the shape of the letter "C" holding it in place. It's snug enough that it hurts to hold on when you strap it onto your finger. but the fingertip is about as thick as it will fit. A rolled up candy bag will do! However, the metal part doesn't touch the interior, so I also use it to secure the thin cable in place and I don't get any interference from the metal part. holds the fabric. holds the pieces in place while gluing, like a small c-clip. I've even used them to tighten and tidy up the corners of the tablecloth so they don't puff up or get in the way. They seem to have many practical uses and are also good for crafting. I would say that everyone should have a container. You will find a use for them.
