Review on Bowers & Wilkins PX7 Wireless Headphones by Jasmit Singh ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like it, thank you for the quality product.

Well, the main thing is the sound! Reviews for these headphones are united by one distinctive feature: they are either praised enthusiastically (however, with some reservations), or - "fu-fu-fu, what a disappointment." This discrepancy, in my opinion, is due to the peculiarities of their sound. There is only one way out: listen to PX7 and compare with ears from the same "shelf". Everyone has their own idea of "good sound". This time. And secondly: you need to understand what you are going to listen to on them. Briefly about my impressions: I'm happy with how they sound. After they were given to me, out of curiosity, I compared the Böse QC II, SONY WH-1000XMR 3 and, in fact, the B&W PX7. And most importantly: with these ears, I carefully listened to Ramin Djawadi "The Night King", Ludovico Einaudi "Divenire", the title theme of the film "The Collector" by Dmitry Selipanov and "Dream within a Dream" from the film Beginning. Source - Mi 9T Pro. Why these tracks? It's plus/minus the music I prefer. Sony was the first to fall away: their trademark "twisted" bass is out of place with such music. Böse Quiet Comfort ll went with a bang - without the support of Sony's LDAC and without the whole gamut of APT-X codecs, as on board the PX7. So why BOWERS & WILKINS? Elementary: I liked them more than others when listening to such music. Parts of the first, second violins, cello and piano were "outlined". They formed one compositional whole, not falling on each other. I sat on Spotify - stuck) It was interesting to "listen" more carefully in these headphones to already familiar music. The stage is very wide. The sound setting suits "my" music and I like it. With all that said, I note that sometimes you want to add in the range of 2 - 4 kHz, the upper middle seems to be a little "squeezed". But - once again - this is a matter of taste. Yes, with regard to noise reduction, control ergonomics, materials, comfort - a very suitable informative review has already been left about this here. The PX7 is a pleasure to use. Their music is a delight. Definitely worth a listen when choosing ears in this segment. Good sound everyone!

Pros
  • Hereinafter - exclusively subjective opinion. 1. Reliable construction. They won't break. 2. Good passive sound insulation. 3. They fit well. The arms do not "walk". My auricles are small - they are comfortable in cups and not hot at normal temperatures. 4. The application finely adjusts the intensity of the transmission of environmental sounds. 5. The auto pause/play function turned out to be useful for use at work (listened to what they wanted from you - went back to music). 6. Hard case included. 7. Satisfactory work of active noise reduction. 8. Noise reduction has 2 modes. 9. No "breaks" in the sound without a wire. 10. Excellent battery life from one full charge. 11. Good volume reserve.
Cons
  • 1. There is no equalizer in the off application. 2. The auto pause / play function [for some reason] does not work in 2 out of 10 cases.
