My 4 year old only wore a hat for a few minutes and the velcro used to tighten or loosen the hat broke off. Literally broken off. Luckily I have a friend who is good with a sewing machine and very smart and she was able to fix it which she did better when she started. She hasn't put on her second hat yet. I love hats, but if you can't fix them yourself or don't know someone who can, they might not be worth the money. However, I don't know if all hats are made this way or if we just had bad luck with ours, but I like this hat now that it's fixed.
