Just unbelievable! Good for safety and survival

This is the first knife that made me seriously reconsider carrying a non-EDC folder (check local laws etc of course). PROS: It's sharp, ergonomic, lightweight and easy to sharpen. Third party aftermarket sources allow for custom grips and sheaths. Did I say it's light? CONS: Ok, this is a fixed blade knife. Check your local laws again. High carbon 1095 steel is more susceptible to corrosion than "stainless" steel under certain conditions. I don't mind much, the main part that's prone to rusting is the bare edge. Wiping the blade dry before recoating will take care of the worst. Areas on the blade where the logo, serial number, etc. have a thinner coat of paint and can be protected with something like Tuff-Glide. First I wrapped the handle as suggested in the instructions that came with the package. . This improved the grip by adding some texture to the grip. However, the handle still lacked the thickness to make it easier to hold. I thought about getting a set of G10 grips after the sale, but for fun I decided to repackage the grip, this time with '360 Strider foil'. The improvements were enough to put me off buying pens for the time being. As for the accessories, I liked the flint/twist and the cord locks came in handy. The scabbard plate is designed for vertical carrying. I prefer horizontal carry for such a small knife. The whistle actually requires the use of paracord to hold it together. I was having a very difficult time figuring out how to hold the cable in place until I found out that I had to remove the inner core to make the cable fit.
