Another great ESEE knife

Love this knife. It was almost as sharp as my ESEE 5. I wish the sheath was Kydex, but it's still a great combo. I use mine as a neck knife. The military paracord was more than enough to weave a nice handle. I can't say enough good things about this company. It has the same unparalleled warranty as my 5, the same coverage, plus a few extras. Buy it, you will love it.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Hard to say

Great knife and accessory set!

I bought this knife because I love ESEE knives and I already have a 6"-5"-4" ESEE and it's a great 3" version to have around mine neck wear. Amazing all the e-tras they send with this package I paracord wrapped the handle with bright orange paracord and then made a paracord necklace and put a magnesium/ferrous rod on top so I always have a knife and the ability to starting a fire when it's separate from the rest of my gear. This knife can shave off hair because it is so sharp. The sheath is…

Don't expect a molle lock

Great little knife! It would be five stars but I didn't have such a kit as in the photo. Mine didn't have a molle lock. The day before I bought a sheath version of this knife. Then I realized that for about $5 I could get the whole kit, including the molle lock (the only part of the kit I really wanted). Then I ordered this one instead because the price difference was negligible. I've attached a screenshot of the image shown for what I expected. There was no list of what actually came in the…

Superb blade, nice items included

Superb knife, very sharp. This kit comes with a belt clip, pouch and 550 lanyard that wraps around the handle. There are other accessories that I didn't find very useful - clips and cable locks, but some might like them. The belt clip is fine, but I ended up cutting off a piece of the bike tube and wrapping it around the trunk. It slips over my belt and the elastic provides enough grip that I can pull it out of my belt very easily. I usually wear it scout style, horizontally at the waist. This…

Get the knife keep the set

I like the knife but I'm not thrilled with the sheath. The bowl looks cheap. I bought this knife with a "complete set" and I wish I had it. "Complete set" is not worth the extra money. It's just a couple of key rings, a short length of paracord, and a few plastic pieces (a lock, clasp, and hook) that are cheap and of little value. Basically, the "complete set" has everything you need to make a lanyard so you can wear the knife as a bandana. You could do this for a fraction of the price of the…

Excellent compact knife

Excellent knife. I was looking for a quality small fixed blade knife that would be good for everyday use and day trips into the woods. This blade suits me perfectly. Lightweight, compact, yet large enough to be used for serious tasks when needed. Although personally I wouldn't call it a neck knife. No doubt it could work for that, but it's a bit bigger than I'd like hanging around my chest. NOTE: Mine had a belt clip plate which is not mentioned and which I unknowingly ordered a duplicate of…

The Izula is probably the best small fixed knife on the market.

This is the power of a fixed blade that slips into a pocket. It also integrates seamlessly with in-belt pistol holsters if you really feel the need to have a concealed knife; I don't have one, so I just put it in my pocket or clip it to my belt for use as a utility knife. It's a very sturdy little knife, like everything else ESEE makes, and I like it as a lightweight alternative to a folder when I go camping or fishing. The steel is very good and, as is usual with ESEE knives, can provide…

Just unbelievable! Good for safety and survival

This is the first knife that made me seriously reconsider carrying a non-EDC folder (check local laws etc of course). PROS: It's sharp, ergonomic, lightweight and easy to sharpen. Third party aftermarket sources allow for custom grips and sheaths. Did I say it's light? CONS: Ok, this is a fixed blade knife. Check your local laws again. High carbon 1095 steel is more susceptible to corrosion than "stainless" steel under certain conditions. I don't mind much, the main part that's prone to rusting

Great light all-purpose knife.

Bought this knife as a parting gift. The new owner will be backpacking for a month and it seemed like a solid item. I'm a fairly experienced hiker/tourist and have done a little research and this knife is recommended by many hikers and climbers as well as some survivalists. Knives: Solid construction, good weight, well balanced and durable. The edge is more than adequate straight out of the box and I would have no problem taking it out of the box on a hike. Some users have recommended…
