For better or for worse, Apple decided that USB-C ports are all you need on a MacBook Pro, so our lives are full of adapters. I like to use my MBP while sitting in my chair and connected to power, an external monitor, and an external hard drive. I have a dongle that allows me to connect anything to my MBP through one port. Unfortunately, all of these keys have short cables, so there are up to 3 different cables going to the recliner. Pooh. I'm also concerned about the mechanical stress on the dongle and the weight of the 3 cables pulling on the MBP port. Table. This keeps all cables neat and tidy with just one cable that fits my chair. It's by no means rigid, but it's less flexible than the cable that comes with the Apple charger. On the other hand, I prefer the fabric jacket on this cable to the silicone jacket on the Apple cable.
