Review on AMD Ryzen 3 3100: Unlocked Quad-Core Desktop Processor for Enhanced Performance, including Wraith Stealth Cooler by Michal Machnicki ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good one.

An ideal productive office option with a lifespan of 8+ years. Windows 7 is installed on it (for all peripherals there are drivers for USB (!)). 10 of course. This is Zen2 having full speed AVX/AVX2 The productivity margin for the office for 8+ years (if mamko survives). Zen2 core 4GHz~KabyLake core 4.3GHz (for comparison) Got pros: Finally, a proper 'office' processor covering the low/middle niches. At 1.275 Volt, ALL the options I tried take 4GHz for all cores. Heat dissipation at this voltage is 58 watts (worst case) when fully loaded with AVX code of acceptable density (Linx with its super-dense AVX is all synthetics). Under the stock cooler ~ 65 degrees Celsius (20 degrees indoors) Got cons: I searched for actual shortcomings but did not find. Honestly. Theoretically, there may be a code that counts on 4 cores with a strong connection in L3 caches (and it is two-segment in 3100). Then it will not be buzzing - however, this is a theory, especially for THIS processor (for its operating conditions).
