I purchased this item while redecorating my daughter's room. She settled on the lamp after looking through different styles online. The lamp arrived and was easy to assemble, but I felt that the plastic screw ring that attaches the glass fitting to the lamp did not fit well to hold the glass in place. He freely felt that the inside of the thread was too big for the male side of the thread and that was bad design. I hand tightened the plastic thread ring, being careful not to overtighten or break the glass. It never stayed tight and the glass swayed freely. After a few weeks, I noticed the ring "unwrapping" and the glass becoming looser and looser. Thinking it was dangerous, I put it down so I could gently tighten the ring again. When I did The lamp on the light bulb fell out of the socket completely and the black and white wires have shifted. There was no way to return the wires. I called Revain and they refunded my money and I ordered another lamp. There is NO problem with that. The plastic ring nut fits perfectly and, unlike the first lamp ordered, is tightened very firmly by hand. We are very happy with the replacement and the lamp.
