We love this product. The smell is a little overpowering when shampooing if you use it without ventilation, but the smell will dissipate within 6 hours. We use this mainly because it smells nice and has a scotch guard. We don't use it because it helps eliminate pet odors, but I think if it's strong enough for pet odors, it should be strong enough to pretty much eliminate anything that happens on our carpet. Daily. We live in a small house with 2 young children, a dog and frequent visits. About 2 months ago I started to feel less than optimal suction. I've done and done what I need to do with it, cleaning and rinsing it out, but no results in improving absorption. I keep using it without looking back and after another 3 weeks the whole machine doesn't spray the solution on the floor. I thought okay I paid that dollar for this car because of the 5 year warranty. So let's take advantage of this amazing guarantee. Well the guarantee is bullshit! They make you take it to an authorized repair center and there is only so much they can and will do to fix it. They called 2 weeks later and said the pump was gone and they no longer make that part. I have to contact bissell to get a replacement. So I called them immediately and explained the situation. They said they would call me back later in the day. You didn't call me back. So I called the next day and explained the same situation. said they would call me back later in the day. no callback. It happened again! I need my shampoo urgently and my biggest problem is with the customer service for my shampoo. What good is that guarantee if they refuse to call you back. I'll try to ask Amazon for help and if that doesn't work I'll have to file a complaint against them with the BBB and the Attorney General for breach of warranty. I will sincerely return to Bissell. Before it broke I loved my car and the shampoos they have.
