Looks very nice, lacquered wood (smells too) and the design isn't too crazy. I think the handles are metal and not plastic. They have a nice, smooth, slightly heavy feel when turned, unlike the usual cheap potentiometers that most electronics use. The volume knob has an extra "off" position that it snaps into, which I find very handy. The sound quality was good. I'm not a music lover and don't mind some distortion (hey, it's "retro"). It could be heard. I didn't have any problems with the FM radio signal, but where I live the signal is pretty good. There is a long (about 2ft) wire antenna coming out of the back, I rolled it up and tucked it behind the radio, but I think you could stretch it out and see if you get lucky with the weak signal. The frequency seems a little off. Stations I'm aware of appear about 0.5MHz lower than they should be when detected. It's not a big deal, as the sensor's backlight alternates between blue and pink as you change channels, so it's not hard to find a channel. I would like the light to be something like amber or yellow for a "retro" look, but I guess that's subjective. Blue/pink isn't that bad. Bluetooth didn't work for me at all. I had the computer 10 feet away, in sight. It kept losing connection and the quality was terrible, full of noise and distortion. By the way, he tries to announce the status of BT by playing pre-recorded voice messages through the speaker. The recording sounds as if it was made in China and the narrator's accent is so thick that it took me a few minutes to understand what she was saying. In any case, it turned out to be a radio without Bluetooth for me, so I deducted a star, but otherwise very satisfied with the product. Works as expected (except BT) and looks very nice.
