Review on GE Microwave Magnetron Diode WB27X10017 by Jeff Callier

This magnetron was the perfect replacement for my 15 year old GE Profile microwave oven. My oven is 36 inches wide and there is no substitute for this cookie oven. So I was forced to find an alternative solution to replace the oven. I'm pretty good at home repairs and with the help of YouTube this microwave is back up and running in an hour. This is the second time I've replaced this magnetron, so an average tube life of 7 years seems right. The installation was a little sketchy due to the oven design, but removed about 2 more screws than I wanted so it went a lot easier. It was easy to assemble and will last me another 7 years. Or until we repeat it in another color. :-(By the way, a local appliance company told me that there are two microwave manufacturers worldwide (in Asia) and they all use basically the same parts, which made me more confident that the part would fit as it was very similar to the existing one. this one fits snugly and gives a little Cr due to its application.
