Works great but installation is a little harder than I expected.

The GE microwave stopped working so I had to either replace the magnetron or buy a new one. With a new microwave oven costing hundreds of dollars and a magnetron/diode combo costing $70, it was worth the effort. I installed the microwave 12 years ago so I knew how to remove it but didn't realize there are many screws to take the microwave apart. Once the covers were removed, replacing the magnetron wasn't too difficult, but it's not for those who aren't mechanically inclined. Also, the old…

Fixing My Microwave That Won't Heat Up

One day my microwave stopped heating food. The lights came on, the turntable spun, the fan made fan noise, but the food still stayed cold. It happened once at first, but then it worked again, but during the day it didn't get hot at all. The symptoms indicated that everything about the electronics was fine, but something in the capacitor/transformer/magnetron area was defective. I've done all the usual tests (switches work, capacitor ok, no ground at transformer) and nothing obvious happened to…

Pros
  • Sturdy Construction
Cons
  • Gradually Disappeared

The microwave oven was on, the plate was spinning but the food wasn't heating up. After researching online, I found that it could be a magnetron, a diode, or both. I looked for parts at Revain and found them. After reading the reviews on the parts (magnetron and diode) and reading about people having the same microwave problem as me and that replacing these parts solved the problem, I decided to give them a try. I found it easy to follow the YouTube instructions for replacing the magnetron and…

Perfect replacement for GE Profile Microwave

This magnetron was the perfect replacement for my 15 year old GE Profile microwave oven. My oven is 36 inches wide and there is no substitute for this cookie oven. So I was forced to find an alternative solution to replace the oven. I'm pretty good at home repairs and with the help of YouTube this microwave is back up and running in an hour. This is the second time I've replaced this magnetron, so an average tube life of 7 years seems right. The installation was a little sketchy due to the oven

Saved my oven and saved me at least $300

My microwave is working again! I have an 11 year old ZMC1095 GE Monogram built in microwave. The cabinet was custom made for this oven, so I really wanted to fix it instead of spending $400 on a new fitment that also didn't fit. Everything worked fine in the microwave except it didn't get hot. After digging around the internet and watching a few videos on YouTube, I decided to fix it. I first bought a $50 magnetron from another site, but it made a loud buzzing sound when installing. I think…

Identical in all respects to my storage device OM75P (Samsung)

Almost identical to the installed OEM device. Fits perfectly. Works the same, but the price is much better. The plastic cover around my OEM unit was a bit tricky to work with and played the same awkward role in reinstalling the replacement unit. I took many preliminary shots with my phone to reproduce the exact location of the reinstall. After 10 minutes of fiddling, the mine snapped into place perfectly. My original diode tested fine but as this purchase came with a brand new diode which also…

  • Not cheap, but neat

One size does NOT fit all and is non-refundable

I need this for a GE Spacesaver Over the Range Microwave Oven. Although it matches the numbers listed, it did NOT work on my GE. The piece of plastic sticking out of the side of the box (where the wires connect) was on the BOTTOM side of the magnetron when installed, not on the SIDE of the magnetron, meaning the wires were TOO SHORT to attach. This also had fastening screws soldered to the back. My old one had screws on ONE EDGE on the back and I didn't need screws on the back on the right…

Pros
  • Many fit
Cons
  • Some difficulty
