Review on GE Microwave Magnetron Diode WB27X10017 by Blake Giordano

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It was easy for me to follow the YouTube instructions on how to change it.

The microwave oven was on, the plate was spinning but the food wasn't heating up. After researching online, I found that it could be a magnetron, a diode, or both. I looked for parts at Revain and found them. After reading the reviews on the parts (magnetron and diode) and reading about people having the same microwave problem as me and that replacing these parts solved the problem, I decided to give them a try. I found it easy to follow the YouTube instructions for replacing the magnetron and got the job done in about an hour. Most of the time is spent removing and reinserting the screws from the microwave case. Also note that the attachment with the black element on the front of the magnetron must be removed from the old magnetron and attached to the new magnetron. I was very happy to plug in the microwave after replacing the parts and see that it heats my cup of water. I've also read that it could be EITHER a magnetron OR a diode. But I just decided to change both since they both came in one kit. Much luck!
