Review on Fisher-Price Classic Xylophone: Timeless Melodies for Kids by Brian Cox

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not as good as the original

Normal toy. Our kids had an original Fisher-Price xylophone and loved it, so we decided to buy one for our grandson. The original had a long cord, and when you pulled it, the little hammers below made music. This one doesn't have any, and the string is so short that it's useless, especially since the stick you're supposed to play the xylophone with is attached to the string, making the instrument very difficult to play. I cut the stick and it helped. But the stick is so long that if your baby puts it in his mouth and falls forward, there is a risk of choking. If the stick was shorter it would be useful. We took him and gave him something shorter to play the xylophone. So it's fun, but not as good as the original, and I just want it to play music when you press it to the floor.

Pros
  • Good build quality
Cons
  • Almost OK
