My first tube amp (partially a hybrid, at least) and I love it. There really is a difference between lamp and solid state. My source is an iPod connected via a Schitt Modi 3 DAC and then Philips or Beyerdynamic headphones or Wharfedale Diamond 220 speakers. Clear, clean, inviting sound that makes me enjoy some genres of music I've never enjoyed in the past , I think now I hear them the way they should be. I don't know how long it will be, but I'll enjoy it while I can! Update: This little amp never ceases to amaze me. I tried upgrading the system with a more expensive hybrid tube amp, but it just couldn't match the sound of that amp. Now connect it to the Elac Debut speakers via a small powered subwoofer with speaker level inputs. sounds good!
