Difficult to remove dirt and spills
We bought this hoping our hardwood floors would have a soft carpet/mat that would be easy for babies and cats to clean. Crumbs and hair get underneath easily, and each piece is very difficult to pick up and clean. Also, if liquid is spilled, it just seeps into all those little nooks and crannies and is very difficult to clean up. It otherwise worked well for covering floors and providing a softer play area, but is better used as a play item than a "mat substitute".
