I recently made my own desktop router table. It didn't take long for me to realize that the table was taking up too much space. So I decided to build a wardrobe on wheels to put it on. I ordered these bits to make proper shaker doors for this closet. First let me say I was skeptical as the price paid was at least 1/3 the price of the cheapest set of the right brand you could find at your local major department store. I opened the box and was pleasantly surprised to see a nice wooden box to store bits in when not in use. I opened up this wooden box and found some stylish looking parts as well as a very simply written guide on the do's and don'ts of their use. After seeing the instructions that you shouldn't make any deeper cuts than 1/4 inch and that you should use slow speed, I realized that's why a lot of people see carbide explosions when using the set. They just work too fast or ask the group to do too much at once. Either way, adjustment is a pain. I downgraded my rating by one star simply because I'd like to see a tuner for the standard 3/4" material setting. Instead, I was forced to place a piece of material next to the cutter when I lifted the cutter. On Tuner would save valuable time here.In any case, I set up every bit, followed the manufacturer's instructions for safe use of the kit and cut almost flawlessly. In my opinion $25 was a good investment.
