Review on PowerForce Lightweight Industrial BGU1451T Commercial by Amy Johnson

Disappointment with handheld vacuums

The price didn't seem to match the "commercial" description but the number of positive reviews combined with my previous experience with Bissell made it a good idea ( I have had a Bissell Big Green Machine Carpet Cleaner vacuum for more than 5 years and I really like it). I am very disappointed that Bissell advertised this vacuum as "commercial". I am also disappointed that they made such an inferior product. Nobody could use it as a commercial vacuum cleaner - it will never last long. Suction is poor at best and the plastic construction is flimsy. The pocket compartment lid was deformed after two uses (on surfaces with no visible dirt). My advice: look elsewhere. I'd like to suggest a good option, but I'm still looking. I've owned a Dyson V8 Animal for 2 years - more expensive doesn't mean better. I love that it's cordless, but I've spent more time cleaning it than using it. In addition, the plastic began to tear after a year - no guarantee. I had an Electrolux - the on/off switch melted. Electrolux replaced it - had the same issue when replacing it. Electrolux replaced it again - with a canister - quiet, with great suction power but carrying it around was a real pain. The only thing I have is an extension cord that plugs into the vacuum and acts as a power cord.
