I kept buying these self locking hinges after trying the first set. They fit snugly and I only installed one hinge at a time and someone just held the door handle to keep the door close to the door frame. The adjustment feature is a win as over time it's only a 10 second fix when I want to adjust the tension. Note that most doors don't slam shut (at least not on our old painted doors). I have the fourth set, I go around the house and change them. Also, just a note that they have rounded ends. So if you can't stand the old stitch pattern being a little bit visible, consider that. But that would be too much, because you can't see the edges when the door is closed. Good product.
