I love this mouse. This mouse is stationary and the cursor moves over the red ball with the thumb. When I first got it I hated it because it's so different from using a regular mouse. I almost got it back but decided to give it a week to see if I could retrain in that time. I'm so glad I did! Now that I'm familiar with using a stationary mouse, I will NEVER do that. I have chronic wrist pain, but a specific diagnosis has not yet been made. When it flares up I can't even hold a coffee cup with incredible pain in my wrist and the only pain free position where my wrist is perfectly straight is impractical. I'm a full-time college student, always typing and using a mouse, so bouts of pain in my wrists paralyze me. Desperate, I bought this ergonomic mouse during the longest flare-up to date - 5 weeks + new symptoms of numbness due to suspected nerve damage. After using this mouse for just a week the pain subsided and after 3 weeks the wrist didn't hurt at all. This mouse allows me to work with my hand without straining my wrist, allowing it to rest and recover continuously. This really changes my life. If you suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome, nerve damage, or any other physical condition that causes pain and fatigue when using your computer, you need to try this mouse. Be patient at the beginning - you're always learning to use the mouse, so it will be slow at first. But it's worth it! The company has a software download that allows you to change mouse settings. You can reconfigure button functions and change velocity sensitivity and cursor acceleration rate (I slowed both down at the beginning to improve accuracy). It's so easy to use that even though I'm VERY tech savvy, I've never had to call tech support. Would buy again! I recommend to everyone!
