Really comfortable trackball - better than Logitech

I've been using trackballs for years and prefer them for the comfort on my wrist. I've had a Logitech M570 for a long time but was dying to lose the key, plus Logitech doesn't support much Mac OS lately. (The image above shows a new Kensington mouse versus my old Logitech M570). Finding a Bluetooth trackball can be a challenge - there aren't many of them. I first tried the Logitech MX Ergo trackball, which failed almost immediately (left click just stopped). Anyway, I wasn't a big fan of this…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Minor issues

UPDATE: After months of continuous use: AVOID! This trackball is terrible, I 100% regret spending more than double what the Logitech M570 costs. I keep having connection problems even though the receiver is no further than 60 cm away. and it's not just a reception problem, it's really another bug - the mouse pointer still moves with the trackball, but it doesn't register any clicks. At first I thought my computer was freezing, but no - it's a Kensington trackball. As soon as I turn the…

No more pain! Give yourself time to retrain.

I love this mouse. This mouse is stationary and the cursor moves over the red ball with the thumb. When I first got it I hated it because it's so different from using a regular mouse. I almost got it back but decided to give it a week to see if I could retrain in that time. I'm so glad I did! Now that I'm familiar with using a stationary mouse, I will NEVER do that. I have chronic wrist pain, but a specific diagnosis has not yet been made. When it flares up I can't even hold a coffee cup with…

Wanted to love it, hated using it

First of all, I have to commend it: I've tried about 12 trackball mice in the last year and tried to find one I like. It was almost! Nearly. Good: This is the most comfortable mouse I've ever used. The angle is the perfect natural resting position for my hand. The ergonomics could not have been worked out better. The features are amazing, the ball release button is very handy and the wheel scroll/tilt works great. I would like the dpi button to be on top, but that's a minor inconvenience. Bad:…

Note the left click. Hit hard. Otherwise GREAT!

I practically live online. I am disabled and have a power chair on my lap and a monitor on the armrest. I use an ergonomic keyboard on my lap and a trackball on the right armrest of my chair. In my newest chair, the right armrest contains a foldable coffee table. I have a trackball, stream deck, ShuttleXpress for video editing and a Morse code key for ham radios. On the back is a non-powered USB 3.1 hub that supports all of these devices. So space is tight. I used to be a big believer in…

Very satisfied!

I drive a CADD car for work and switched to trackball mice a few years ago. The lack of a string to move the mouse when I let go was its main selling point. Thumb trackballs give me a lot less hand fatigue than finger balls, so I prefer them as another company made such a ball a few years ago. After this company had quality and warranty issues, I started looking for an alternative. Kensington was the first place I looked. I wanted some programmable buttons (CHECK), a thumbball (CHECK), a…

Not suitable for large hands

Just got the Kensington Pro Fit Ergo Received Vertical Wireless Trackball and using it for a few hours I wanted to give my first review. This rating is subject to change with continued use and I will ensure that any updates are provided. I've used the Logitech M570 (the mouse with the blue trackball in the photos) for years and enjoy it, but was looking for something a little more up to date. Before the Kensington Pro Fit Ergo vertical wireless trackball, I tried the ELECOM M-HT1DRBK (aka…

Pros
  • Easy to use - uses the same left click, right click and scroll wheel controls as a traditional mouse but offers the benefits of a trackball with a simple thumb swipe
Cons
  • No insurance
