I live semi-retired in the California desert. I've bought them for running, running errands, things my laceless shoes can't handle. I usually wear a size 9.5-10 sometimes a 9. After reading the reviews I ordered a size 9.5 hoping it would fit my legs/ankles well. You've been great so far. NOTE. The upper is thinner than I would normally expect from a tennis shoe. For me they are still quite durable and with temperatures hitting 110-120 degrees daily for half a year a lighter and more breathable material is an advantage. If I were to wear them to work or to play/exercise I wouldn't expect them to hold up like normal shoes.
