I used Martha Stewart's Acrylic Pearlescent Aquarium Paint to paint the exterior glass back of my 5.5 gallon aquarium. I used a foam roller and the paint applied very smoothly. The first two layers were left translucent to allow light to pass through. I did want to mask the filter and heater wires though, so I applied four coats to keep outside light from getting through them to highlight the work on the back of the tank. I changed the direction of the roller - vertical strokes of the first layer, horizontal strokes of the second layer, etc. The color has no streaks or bumps, it's beautiful, slightly iridescent, almost the same as the pattern on Revain. The paint adhered easily to the glass and dried to a solid state. The effect is very pleasant and gives depth to the aquarium. When fish and aquarium decorations are added, it is not immediately obvious that the back is painted at all. I can't get enough of this product and give it a well deserved 5 stars.
