I am so disappointed. This thermometer lasted about 8 months. It was very accurate, easy to use and I liked that the safe cooking temperature for meat was available as a reference. Despite a thorough wash, I noticed water behind the display last month. Shortly thereafter I washed it and ran the towel over the probe. The probe fell off and stopped working. What a waste. Edit Changed my rating. When the product failed me, I threw it away. It was only when I came to write this negative review that I saw that there was a guarantee. Since I no longer have the damaged item, I assumed I could not send it in for a replacement. Suddenly I received an email that a new one was on the way. You saw my review and got it right. I didn't have to do anything. This kind of customer service is rare. Many Thanks. I highly recommend this product! Second edit. Second defective thermometer. This time we were very careful with it. Washed and hung immediately, never put in a drawer, never submerged in water. This screen didn't work. The first two digits are blank. Was it 7 degrees? 47? 167? I wrote to support and this time got no response. Was looking for a new thermometer. and hope my meat is fully cooked.
