I am so disappointed. This thermometer lasted about 8 months. It was very accurate, easy to use and I liked that the safe cooking temperature for meat was available as a reference. I have read all of the negative reviews on Revain and have come to the conclusion that this is a fault I need to address before using my new thermometer. There are a couple of small protrusions that the metal probe has to pass through when the thermometer closes in order to turn it off and store it. I used my wife's nail file and carefully removed the protrusions so they wouldn't touch the probe when the device was folded for power off and storage. The tabs are probably not even needed since…
