These little #74 style bulbs now illuminate my Camry's center console. They are much brighter than #74 should have been and appear to be very well done. They don't generate much heat and can be dimmed to a certain extent, but turn off early, just before they become as dim as a lightbulb. IMHO they could have just narrowed the tip of the bayonet to make it easier to fit in a tiny socket. I was able to damage the electrical connection fairly easily because I couldn't see the alignment of the tiny lightbulb and outlet that well in my garage - I had to get a flashlight and everything was fine. ALSO note that these bulbs are polarity sensitive - if they don't work after installation, you'll need to reverse them.
