I love the flat cable (it holds up much better than the round cable I used). My car radio has an input jack (standard stereo jack) built into the radio and I use it to connect to my Samsung S8 smartphone to listen to music while driving. (*The car only supports Bluetooth phone calls and does not support Android wireless music via Bluetooth or built-in USB which only supports Apple devices.) The cable is the perfect length (1.5ft) to reach me in the driver's seat, by plugging all the cords in and then placing them in the phone holder just above the stereo so the cords are NOT hanging in the cup holder. The right angle on one end prevents the cables from sticking out too far from the center console. This is a simple connection cable with standard 3.5mm dimensions on both ends and an angled plug on one end.
