Review on Simpeak Harness Walking Adjustable Outdoor by Kim Thompson

I ordered this harness because from the photos it looked like it had more neck opening and it wasn't as tight as other refugee protection products my cat harness. When I opened it, it was impossible not to notice the overwhelming smell. It was a floral scent, but it was SO STRONG that it carried across the room. As for the construction, I figured that since the suspension is soft, this might be good suspension if I could get rid of the smell. Washing the tourniquet didn't get rid of the smell and I don't know if anything will. But I went ahead and put it on the cat, thinking maybe the smell wouldn't bother him. My cat weighs 10 pounds and is a skinny cat. The band fitted, but somehow strange. I have referred to and followed the listing rules regarding sizes. No matter how I adjusted it, it just didn't fit my cat's body. It seemed a little big in the middle, but it was a good fit on the head and neck. However, the end result was that my cat didn't like this harness, not at all. He refused to move, didn't move. This is unusual as my cat does well with other harnesses and even has a cat shirt that she sometimes wears for comfort. I really think he didn't like the thick padding as it was too bulky for him. Or maybe he just didn't like the smell because it's still pretty strong. I don't think it's a bad harness, it's just not for my cat because of the odd fit. And that pungent odor is simply unacceptable. The description says nothing about the dishes being scented, but even that would be an understatement.
