Purchased to prevent giant Newfoundland hair from getting into the washing machine. Works great! It's also cheap, easy to use, and not useless. It just works! We have a huge Newfoundland breed at home so the pet beds, blankets and linens are also gigantic. He also loses a ton. While most fur is thoroughly cleaned before anything is thrown in the wash, fur inevitably gets stuck in the washer and dryer, clogging them up over time. Buying another washing machine just for the dog is of course not possible. Until I found out, my life consisted of either hand washing dog litter (no fun!), half disassembling the washing machine to remove the fur (no fun either!), or paying $$$$ to a pro every year to pay to clean the washing machine. Useless sticky pads that claim to attract dog fur and are reusable don't work. I dreamed of a laundry bag big enough to fit in my dog's bed, but until I saw this, I didn't know laundry bags that size existed! X-Large is big enough. It comfortably fits the largest dog blanket on the market (essential for my newbie) or two blankets at a time. It also does a good job of keeping the fur in the bag, and as a bonus, it also holds any scraps of food or treats I missed brushing out before throwing it in the wash. Linens come out clean. What I need to wash I put in my bag, then I throw it in the washer and dryer (low speed). After drying, I take out the clean clothes and simply shake the bag out to remove most of the wool and fur leftovers that are stuck inside. No more tedious cleaning of my washer and dryer after washing! The only thing I would say is that after washing, there will be a little bit of hair left on a clean dog bed. Which I don't really care because he's gathering more fur anyway. What excites me is that my washer and dryer don't get tangled and this bag successfully does it!
