This is the second one I have. I bought the last one many years ago and it eventually wore out. I should have had another. I like a little blender. It can be used for so many things. I use it to emulsify salad dressings and the carafe worked great. Until this happened. I've had it for about 10 months and a few days ago I went to make salad dressing and my whole counter was covered in vinegar. The seam was leaking at the bottom. Luckily I had another carafe to use. This carafe didn't last as long as the first one I have. But overall it's a great product and a good gift.
