Great device! in Salad Tools & Spinners

I use this salad dressing maker almost every day. It's amazing and allows you to make dressings that are fully blended. It is easy to use and easy to clean. I've bought half a dozen of these and given them away for showers, birthdays and housewarmings.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Something's wrong

So disappointed good for kitchenware & gadgets

I thought it was the original bottle and loved it until the lid stopped spinning. So I was excited when I saw it back on the Revain, but they remade the upper and it's too hard to press on it to make it spin. Even my son who is very strong found it very difficult to use.

Pros
  • Yummy
Cons
  • Very expensive

I threw it on salad bowls

Garbage. This doesn't work well because the wand doesn't go down and the device is cumbersome due to the position of the button (the top corner). It's better to take the lid and just shake it. Seriously, I would have preferred more shelf space, so I threw it away. Buy a KitchenAid emulsifier instead.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • A little variety

Find the best item for Kitchenware and Gadgets

This blender is very difficult to use. The propeller control knob is in an awkward spot and needs to be pressed constantly to work. It's impossible to turn it off and on. I had to use both hands to press the button while the carafe was on the counter, which wasn't easy either. Then the propeller mount fell out.

Pros
  • Stick
Cons
  • Crumpled

Handy salad dressing mixer and storage container.

Made of plastic. Never mind, but it's a light weight that can be both good and bad. If you are only making salad dressing for one person, hold onto the bottle or it will tip over. The blender is heavier than the bottle. Works well and quickly mixes your homemade salad dressing. Has a cork at the top of the bottle for the rest of the dressing.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Skip this one! - Salad tools and spinners

My husband bought it for me. I had an earlier iteration with a large rounded knob. It was always a bit hard and difficult. That means the button was big, but the mechanism underneath that controlled the machine was tiny. You should have got it right. This new one is even worse. The activation button is harder to find in the new Flat Top, and the force required to trigger it - IF you get it to work - is too great. Skip that!

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Not as good as it says

Purchased September 2019. The problem is stated in the title. Also, I agree with people who say that the redesigned slanted button is difficult to use. The old blender could be operated with one hand. This requires one hand to hold the blender while the other hand presses a cumbersome button. I wish there was a guarantee or a way to get a replacement. UPDATE: I think the manufacturer knows the quality of their product: they have a 30 day guarantee.

  • Weight
Cons
  • Sad equipment

Carafe Can Leak: Kitchenware & Gadgets

This is the second one I have. I bought the last one many years ago and it eventually wore out. I should have had another. I like a little blender. It can be used for so many things. I use it to emulsify salad dressings and the carafe worked great. Until this happened. I've had it for about 10 months and a few days ago I went to make salad dressing and my whole counter was covered in vinegar. The seam was leaking at the bottom. Luckily I had another carafe to use. This carafe didn't last as…

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • No Paint Required

The redesign is not perfect.

This product really does everything great. But the actual task of holding down the diagonal "power button" isn't that simple. As for why they built that button diagonally, it just doesn't make sense and is counterintuitive. The older model had a flat-top power button and was easy to use. Not much, now that you're actually forced to press the button at an angle to the side. Not ergonomic at all. Also, the lid of the supplied container is not designed to be screwed onto the container. Therefore…
