Disappointed Collision Repair Kits

Read some scary reviews of cheaper Chinese spring compressors. I paid $17 in change for this tool. It was the most experienced I've ever seen. The first thing I saw upon unboxing was "Made in China". I could buy this tool at my local Harbor Freight Store for $8. Although it worked, the two compression arms (jaws) kept moving farther apart as I tightened the compression nut. Made me a little nervous. The instructions state to use a 1/2 inch wrench to open and close the jaws. Not so. The nut actually required a 13mm metric wrench. If I had to do it all over again I would go to Harbor Freight and save $9.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly dented
