I wanted a controller that was cheaper than a Nintendo Pro. I'm not a fan of loose buttons or a slightly awkward grip, so the third-party controller seems to have lived up to my low expectations. The wireless professional game controller EEEKit arrived on time. I unpacked it, read the instructions on how to connect it to the switch and started playing. The top left and right buttons were a little wobbly, but like I said, that doesn't bother me. Then I got mobile with my Switch and that was the first glaring problem. This controller does not include a switch. You'll need to turn on the console, then press and hold the home button on the controller for five seconds before the Switch will automatically go to sleep to allow it to connect. I've been playing for a while and a second glaring problem has surfaced. This product comes with a micro USB charging cable. Except that the connection is so small that the vast majority of cables do not fit into the housing. You literally need the included USB cable. Don't get me wrong, that's the correct charging cable, but it doesn't go through the frame of the controller. See all those cables you have for phones and tablets? Well, each one has a plastic casing around it where it plugs in and it doesn't fit the controller. I took my switch somewhere, took two cables, one for the switch and one for the controller. Except I just grabbed one of the 100 cords I have laying around. Now I didn't have a controller because they couldn't raise the port a bit higher to accommodate the other 90% of micro USB cables. The last and biggest problem. Nintendo Switch has released an update. Cool, thanks Nintendo. Well, with the update complete, I turned on the switch and held down the home button on my new EEEKit Wireless Pro gaming controller. and Switch crashed and told me to restart it. Well, weird, let me try again. nope Momentary error pairing with this controller now. So I contact support. The support service recommends updating the drivers for the controller. So they emailed me a link to the cloud drive to download the files. So I downloaded them, connected the controller to my computer (with the cable I have to use) and updated the controller. Then I tried it again with my switch. and no. Still crashes my whole console. I wanted to try. Even if the new drivers worked, what about the next Switch update? Do I have to email customer support again and wait for them to send me another link for new drivers? What if the person stops responding to my email and all I have is a piece of plastic that can turn off my switch? Spend more money and go for Pro Controller. I received a refund and here's what I'm going to do now.
