Official GE part, fast delivery, perfect fit and function

My GE gas stove blew up when I turned it on, even singed my wife's hair once and eventually stopped burning. The price from Revain for this GE branded part was very good, shipping was fast, and the part that looked exactly like the original before it blew him away, fit perfectly and worked well; now my stove ignites instantly and I don't miss the frightening sounding explosion. This job is a bit tricky and requires a bit more disassembly than I thought. The floor and stove burner must be removed, which requires finding and removing a pile of very small and corroded sheet metal screws, some of which are difficult to access. This can be done with the right tools: a 1/4" wrench and socket, and a screwdriver or small pry bar, possibly wire strippers. Also helpful is the advanced diagram on the Sears Appliance Parts website. A small, bright lightwork with magnets on the back makes finding the screws a lot easier and lets you see how the panels fit together. holding the inside of the oven together. The inside of the oven is a clever 3D puzzle. Some plates fit together perfectly and some screws are hard to find and tighten with a wrench. The bottom panel, burner and some of the front panels attached to the bottom and side panels will need to be removed. The nuts holding the burner are countersunk and are a bit of a hassle to remove and replace. The igniter is attached to the bottom of the burner. two screws. Access to one of the wire nuts was an issue, I pulled out of the oven, tipped it forward, propped it up and pulled from the bottom. Something that took me a lot of time and effort are the ceramic wire nuts that connect the ignition wires to the wires inside the oven. The instructions say they should be replaced and because they were either not included in my kit or I accidentally threw them away with the packaging I had to look for them at the hardware store where they are called porcelain wire nuts. The job turned out to be more difficult than I had hoped, glad I did it and it gave me the opportunity to give the oven a thorough cleaning. Also consider replacing the burner if the holes are clogged and the bottom plate shows holes and corrosion.
