Wow! I don't think there is an entry level knife set in the world that can be purchased with any knife at this price point. I tried to use and the knives were more than broken. I was shocked at the quality and sharpness. I explain my statement by saying that I'm not even a hobby cook, but used foreign German knives that cost 500 per set, and they didn't feel anything like that. Yes, it's because of the bad service, but it's a good buy. Edit: I've learned more about knives and maintenance, and can now use whetstones and dressers to sharpen these knives to a better-than-factory blade. As your culinary skills grow, you can expand them, but they contain the essentials - a paring knife, utility knife, and chef's knife. The super bread knife is not that important, but still nice.
