This is the perfect boot for adventure touring. Two easy-release buckles and one velcro closure at top, waterproof, amazingly comfortable, lightweight and high quality. The fit is perfect. I bought these boots for my "medium" trips. They are not too ribbed and tight motocross boots. These are not the road racing shoes you see in many bike shops and stores. These are well-designed adventure hiking shoes that meet the needs of adventure tourism. You can wear them all day with climate-ready pants and walk around town in them without the embarrassment of a really tough boot. They are very comfortable. You almost forget they are on you. Alpinstar quality. Great boot!
