Overall there is a lot to like about this mandolin. The tool storage is nice, wish the base could be used as a lid. Now the parts have to be stored separately. As others have noted, the bin is quite small. So if you use it for gardening, be prepared to empty it a lot. I tried a straw blade and as promised, it cuts through the zucchini like butter. However, due to the lack of a side handle, I found it a bit unstable. The main reason I gave this tool 3 stars was that the handle has a major design flaw (see image). Food gets stuck in the handle and is very difficult to remove, which can lead to bacteria and mold growth. The spiked lip holds food. With some improvements it could be great.
