10K Gold 0.8Mm Thin Rope Chain Necklace For Women | Yellow, White Or Rose Gold Review

I purchased this chain without realizing just how thin it was. It is super super thin. I used it to replace a chain I had which my dog destroyed. The problem is I'm not confident it will continue to support the pendant on the end of my starmapjewelry.com necklace. It really is meant to just be worn by itself.

It is really a small chain, but perfect for my purpose. I broke a similar chain that I had a while gold cross on. For several years I looked for a replacement. The clasp needed to fit the opening on the cross pendant. This one fits. The clasp is hard for me to use, but once I got it closed, I never take it off anyway, so works for me!

If you are looking for a thin chain you are going to want something larger than this size. I wanted dainty but this was too thin for even that. Returned. Knew that I would break it quickly.

I ordered a 24 inch 10k rose gold chain. Delivery was fast, that's a plus. Very disappointed when I opened it. I've never seen a gold chain so dull in shine, there was absolutely no shine at all. I should have known, since the price was too good to be true, I would be disappointed. I decided to order a 14k elsewhere after this one arrived and paid $200 for it. When it arrived it was beautiful and I realized, the extra money was well worth it. I learned my lesson, you only get what you pay for.

This chain is very shiny & decent for the price. It would be great for someone that needs a chain for a small pendant, it's holding my cross just fine so far. I purchased this necklace for myself for alphabet bead charms. It is beautiful, but SUPER delicate, so definitely not a permanent fixture type piece to wear all the time. Super thin and dainty chain. If the lady wearing it is wearing a light charm or pendant and just going out to dinner or sitting at a desk all day then it's probably a fine choice. It's cute, just very fragile and the kind of chain which tends to knot itself up if the wind hits it just right. None the less, it's a quality piece of jewelry.

This is a beautiful gold chain, but please be advised it is VERY small. Like tiny, even for a delicate pendant. It is hard shopping online as I cannot tell if I would need 1mm, or 1.5mm and have it still feel like a "delicate" chain. This is like a "whisper" of a chain, and very hard to get on and off as the clasp is super small as well. Bear in mind I have very small hands for scale.

Probably paid too much for this necklace, but my daughter wears her gold cross every day and had broken her original necklace in a sports game. It arrived within a couple of days and she was happy with it. I do not think that it could handle too much weight.

I like this item but the clasp is very small and hard to manage, even with excellent dexterity. I'm concerned that this chain will not last me very long for the pendant I have on it and daily use. If there were an item to scale against it I might have gone with something sturdier. Best for a delicate pendant and possibly infrequent wear. I will probably upgrade in the future but might buy something like this for a gift for one of my daughters in the future.
