We purchased the 14in model for our daughter to hold a pendant we'd purchased elsewhere. Our daughter is 7 and the size is just right for her. She's worn the necklace 3x and so far there hasn't been any issues with the chain itself. The clasp tends to stick somewhat if you have it fully open, which is why the review has 4 stars instead of 5. It will stay open if you pull it to the fully retracted position. I ordered this to replace a broken chain. The clasp on the first chain that arrived would not stay closed and the necklace fell off a few times. Thankfully I was aware of it falling and did not lose my necklace. I sent it back for a replacement and the replacement is sturdy and I have had no problems with it. It was inexpensive but does not look cheap. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because of the faulty first chain, otherwise the new one is perfect!

I was a little hesitant because I didn't know if it was going to be exactly what I was looking for, but it was perfect! It was exactly the small chain I was looking for, for my small diamond heart pendant. I didn't want it to look too cheap for it but it was perfect!Also, came super fast! I ordered it the day before and came by 7pm the next day! Pretty & shiny. A lot thinner than I though it would be. I ordered it long 30”. probably should have ordered shorter. The delicacy of the chain won’t allow anything heavy. But it is suitable for something light and delicate.

I'm clumsy, and I managed to break three different chains in one week. I needed something to wear my pretty pendants and lockets on, but I didn't want to pay a bunch of money fora fancy gold chain that I'll probably end up breaking.This is a great value. The subtle twist makes it shiny, and the chain is very small and delicate looking (but well made, from what I can tell). I bought 2 necklaces; this one for not a lot of money and a white gold necklace for a lot more. This necklace last twice as long as the expensive necklace. This necklace broke after 6 months of occasional wear but I'm ordering another one since it was not a lot of money.

As others have posted, this necklace is very delicate and lovely. My only problem is the extremely tiny clasp - I think I'll need to order some magnetic closers so I'll be able to put this on without my husband's help!

The chain is so thin I kind of feel like it's going to break, but it's very pretty and has been fine so far. Can't beat the price either.Update: I had this chain for about 3 months before it snapped in half. My three year old did pull on it quite a bit, so I'm not detracting from the score since I think with regular wear it would have lasted longer, but not that much. It did frequently get stuck in my hair, on earrings, etc. Still a good deal for the price, though.

Absolutely GORGEOUS chain!I have ordered about 15 of of these chains for my small business. They are the perfect mix of dainty/thin, but also are very strong and sturdy. The sterling silver is stunning , and the yellow gold is as well. They have always arrived perfectly intact. I will keep ordering these again and again.

I got this longer chain to replace the small chain my mom's ashes came on. I'm worried about the durability of it. My mom's pendant with ashes was $120 and I pray this chain doesn't break. I really thought it would be thicker. I might have to re order the 2.1 because I got the 1.2.

Bought this chain for a small pendant. The 1mm width is the perfect size, and has held up really well. I've worn it 24/7 for over a year with no problems. Would definitely buy it again.

This is a gorgeous chain and stronger than most other chains of this thickness. I bought this to replace a similar but more fragile chain for a pendant, and could not be more satisfied. It is very shiny and definitely sterling (I have a nickel allergy and sadly others have not been as honest in the past).

I ordered this because I needed a new chain for a yen coin charm that I wanted to separate from my crystal charms. It's the length I wanted, but the only thing I would change about it is the clasps opposite end I don't know what you would call it is far too small. It's hard to handle, & I ended up adding a bigger hoop that I can handle while clasping it together. It did the job I needed it to and it was good for the value. Will come back if anything changes in the next few weeks or months.

Beautiful chain.much more delicate than I had pictured in my mind but that makes it even more special. Not made for large or heavy charms. My advice is no more than one or two small lightweight charms at most or wear it alone.
