The size of the unit I received was ok in height and width in the middle but the corners are sharp, 90 degree corners and didn't go over the rounded edges my hitch out on the Ram 3500. It took about an hour but I got it to fit by sanding each corner of the stem of this cap to the edge of the radius and then painting it. If I look closely at the advertised image and compare it to the device I received, I see that the advertised cover has edges of a very different radius than the sharp edges on mine. I can only conclude that there is no requirement for a common CAD specification when the vendor moves from batch to batch or supplier to supplier.
